Salute to the Military

A patriotic tradition continued tonight, bringing the nation’s top military leaders to Biloxi.
Nearly 1,000 people gathered at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center for the 38th annual Salute to the Military. The event aims to honor and recognize the service of those in the military.
Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James served as the guest speaker for the evening. She tells News 25 the longevity of this celebration is a testimony to the staying power of the U.S. Military here along the Gulf Coast. “It’s a testimony to the fantastic people in the community who show appreciation day in and day out for the hardships and hard work day in and day out that our military provides to them. So, we appreciate them.”
