Saints WR Michael Thomas erases medical debt, donates $20,000

New Orleans Saints Wide Receiver Michael Thomas is stepping up to help out his neighbors in need.

The Pro Bowl wide out donated $20,000 to the nonprofit group RIP Medical Debt. The donation will clear more than $2 million in past due medical bills for over 1,000 residents in the greater New Orleans area.

In a press release, Thomas called it an honor to support his community.

The all-time leader in single season receptions was also instrumental in getting other NFL players organized for the Black Lives Matter video that was posted last week.
