Saints vs. Eagles Preview

Thanks to a blocked field goal, the Philadelphia Eagles will make a trip to the Superdome for an NFC divisional playoff matchup.

The defending Super Bowl champs will make a second trip to the Big Easy this season after suffering a 48-7 loss in week 11. Drew Brees threw for over 360 yards and four touchdowns while Carson Wentz threw three interceptions.

Now, it’s safe to say with Nick Foles taking the snaps, this is a different Eagles team walking into the dome this time around. Since then Philly has won the last six of their seven games, including upsetting the Bears on the road.

Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson reflects on week 11 as a teaching tool to prepare for the NFC South champions. “I think for us, this week is more of a resource. We go back and look at scheme; we go back and look at personnel. You can’t look at the final score obviously we all know that. You got to look at it as ‘Xs’ and ‘Os’. It’s good to have played them because we got that on tape. You got us versus them on tape. You can go back and review and use it more as a resource.”

You can watch the Saints take on the Eagles at home on Sunday at 3:40 p.m. on Fox.
