Saints pick up fifth year option on Marcus Davenport
As first reported by Nick Underhill, today the New Orleans Saints exercised their fifth-year option on Marcus Davenport, taken 14th overall in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
In three seasons with the Saints, the defensive end out of UTSA has appeared in 37 games with 14 starts, recording 75 tackles, 12 and a half sacks, and two passes defensed.
Davenport now remains under contract with the Saints through 2022, giving himself two more years to prove himself in the Big Easy.
