Saints/Pelicans youth summer camp
Kids on the Coast hit the Golden Sportsplex in Gulfport for the third annual Orange Grove Football, Cheer, and Dance League Summer Camp.
The Gulf Coast Youth Association joined the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans for an evening filled with fun. The kids got to run through some drills and pick the minds of coaches. Cheerleaders learned a new routine they can incorporate into their cheers. Parents had a special session where they learned about football safety tips like proper equipment and concussion protocol.
This was a part of the Saints Play 60 Experience to encourage kids to get out and stay active. Youth Programs Director Jason Trosclair said, “We are blessed and honored. For me to have worked for 23 years for Mr. Tom Benson, we are just continuing his legacy and now more than ever. It’s a way for us to honor him and his legacy. Again, honored to do it.”
Trosclair brought a special gift for the kids as they had the opportunity to take a picture with the Vince Lombardi Trophy from the Saints Super Bowl victory.
