Saints kicker reached out to Browns’ kicker
If you ever feel like you’re having a bad day simply remember the Sunday afternoon Cleveland Browns kicker Zane Gonzalez just had at the Superdome.
As a result of his two missed field goals and two failed extra points, his Monday wasn’t too great either. The second year pro was cut from the 53 man roster after starting the season just 2-5 on field goals.
Meanwhile, Saints kicker Will Lutz kicked the eventual game winner and empathizes with his fellow kicker. “It’s tough, you’ve got to find a way to be confident. I know Zane very well, I think he’s an amazing kicker, it just wasn’t his day. And every kicker is going to go through that at some point in this league, and I hope that he can get over that hump and get his career going.”
In a corresponding move, the Browns signed Greg Joseph to take over for Gonzalez.
