Saints head coach Dennis Allen expected to stay for next season

There have been six coaches fired throughout the course of the 2023-24 NFL regular season. The Commanders, Titans, and Falcons are teams that have opened their head coaching position in the last 48 hours.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Dennis Allen will be retained as head coach of the New Orleans Saints.

While nothing is set in stone – it appears that the final month of of success that Allen and the Saints saw seems to have saved him his job going into next season. After a relatively slow start to the year, with offensive and defensive questions swirling throughout the organization, the Saints found consistency during the final month of the season.

The black and gold won four of their final five games with the only loss coming to an eventual playoff bound Los Angeles Rams in week 16.

Although there are additional questions on if Allen has lost the locker room, it seems as if he will have at least one more chance to prove that this is his team and he has them heading in the right direction.
