Saints beat Vikings 30-20 on Sunday Night Football
Perhaps the most infamous play in the history of New Orleans Saints football, the Minneapolis Miracle turned out to be good for something after all, paving the way for last night’s ultimate revenge game between the Saints and Vikings.
Right back where the Saints ended last year’s playoff run in the divisional round, they weren’t about to forget about that ‘I owe you.’
It was an all-around methodical effort from Drew Brees and company en route to the 30-20 victory. “We were efficient. There weren’t a lot of big plays, but it was just a lot of grind it out type football, time of possession, running the ball well, getting completions, putting ourselves in position to score.”
It’s going to be another huge one for the Saints in week 9 as they return home to the Superdome to host the undefeated Los Angeles Rams at 3:25 on WXXV on FOX. New Orleans remains a game up in the NFC South standings.
