Saints acquire Eli Apple from Giants

From the Big Apple to the Big Easy, the New Orleans Saints have reportedly acquired cornerback Eli Apple from the New York Giants.

According to reports, the Black and Gold will part ways with a fourth-round pick in 2019 and a seventh rounder in 2020.

Apple was a first-round pick of the G-Men in the 2016 NFL Draft, hailing out of Ohio State.

He’ll join fellow Buckeye alum Marshon Lattimore at the other corner position where he’ll try to help the Saints improve on their bottom five pass defense to complement their league-leading rushing D.

New Orleans now has five former Ohio State players on its 53 man roster.
