Safety while shooting fireworks
The 4th of July is this Thursday!
Folks are going to be shooting off fireworks to celebrate America’s birthday. To ring in the moment, firework stands are setting up ahead of the big day.
Fireworks can be dangerous, even if someone thinks they know what they are doing.
One firework stand employee explains ways to stay safe while also celebrating Independence Day. Inventory Manager Jennifer Cumbest said, “We always recommend adult supervision. All of the boxes have instructions so you know how to properly light them and enjoy them. We always recommend fully dousing them in water once you get finished with them before you dispose them to make sure they are totally extinguished and nice and safe to get rid of.”
