Safety tips to remember as students return to school

With schools returning this week, the Jackson County Fire Protection team wants to remind all about safety in the mornings.

Drivers are told to use extra caution and remember to stop for buses that are loading or unloading students.

Drivers are also reminded to be on the lookout for kids near bus stops in the morning.

Traffic on the road is also expected to increase and there might be some newer drivers, all are asked to exercise a little patience and grace.

Crossing guards and law enforcement will also be in school zones again. Drivers are asked to observe the lower speed limits when students are around.
