Saferooms opening Wednesday due to weather

Due to anticipated severe weather Wednesday, April 10th, saferooms will open in areas around the Coast.
The Poplarville Community Saferoom, located at 124 Rodeo Street, will open at 8:00 AM and will remain open until the threat of severe weather has passed.
Pets are not allowed. Please bring anything you may need (food, water, etc.).
The Picayune Community Saferoom, located at 501 Laurel Street, will open at 8:00 AM tomorrow and remain open until the threat of severe weather has passed. Pets are not allowed. Please bring anything you may need (food, water, etc.).
The Carriere Community Saferoom, located at 7431 Highway 11, will open at 8:00 Am tomorrow and remain open until the threat of severe weather has passed. Pets are not allowed. Please bring anything you may need (food, water, etc.).
Hancock County also is opening saferooms the emergency management office announced early Wednesday morning.
Hancock County will be opening the Leetown Shelter located at 28290 Leetown Road at 10 a.m. for anyone needing shelter from the severe weather.
Hancock County also will open the Necaise Shelter located at 3360 Highway 603 at 10 a.m. for anyone seeking shelter due to potential severe weather.
The Agricola and Benndale Shelters in George County are opening as a SAFE ROOM only. You must take your own food and drinks. NO smoking or vaping inside the building.
