Safe and Unsafe Thanksgiving Foods for Dogs
During the holidays dogs sniff around the dinner table– and although many of you may want to give turkey bones to your dog– it’s not a good idea.
Experts say the bones can potentially cause damage to your pet’s digestive tract.
Other food your pups should avoid– stuffing, casserole, and ham.
Instead– Arin King– Project Manager at the Humane Society of South Mississippi—believes you should give your pets clean and healthy foods.
King said, ” dogs are definitely going to want some of your table scraps just be sure if you are going to do it to give them some plain food such as, plain turkey, plain green beans, plain potatoes and pumpkin.”
If your pet gets something they shouldn’t– seek help right away by contacting your local vet that offers weekend and after-hours services.
