Ryan’s “Almost Rainy” Friday Forecast
It’s been just a degree or two hotter so far this Friday in South MS, and we’ve already seen a few showers popping up in the Northern areas. I expect we’ll see a more showers as we head into the later parts of the evening and into tomorrow, where it’s much more likely to see more organized storms. Rain totals for the weekend are expected between 1 and 2 inches right now but localized areas could see more if this slow moving system stalls out. We’re also keeping our eyes on the Gulf as a new tropical system is beginning to develop, which is expected to begin making its way into the Central and Northern Gulf by the beginning of next week. Current forecasts have it heading more NNE right now, which would push it into the panhandle of Florida, but these systems can be predictable and coastal residents should be slightly wary.
