Rumble at the Camp

People across the Coast may be gearing up for Cruisin’ festivities, but one new car show made its grand entrance to the Gulf Coast on Saturday.

‘Rumble at the Camp’ was put on by Campground Baptist Church and featured more than just rows of cars.

Participants had the opportunity to take their vehicles out on a scavenger run and enter their names to win a custom-made T-Bucket hot rod built by members of the church.

Ron Corder with Campground Baptist Church says the event is a way to build positive connections among people. “We’re not after the cars. We’re after the people. We’re in the people business. We love people. So, cars are just an excuse to mix with people.”

Around 340 vehicles participated in the show.
