Rudy Quilon’s family speaks out
After a two day long retrial, a jury found Harvill Richardson not guilty of manslaughter or murder six years after he was previously convicted of murder for the 2009 death of Rudy Quilon.
Today, Rudy Quilon’s family speaks out. In a statement from Quilon’s daughter, Sherrell Lockhart tells News 25: “We are angry with the outcome. Harvill Richardson was supposed to die in prison, but instead he can return home to his family when my father cannot. I did not know that the case would go back to trial until I heard it on the news and during this new trial my family was told we could not stand and speak for my father. We were told to just erase the first conviction out of our mind, but the family will forever relive this nightmare. We are upset, devastated and lost and ask that any professional lawyers reach out to us to help bring justice for my father’s murder. He has a family who loves him dearly and he was taken from each and every one of us.”
Rudy is survived by Sherrell Lockhart, his only child and his sisters and brothers, Rosa Quilon, Jimmy Quilon, Joe Quilon, Michael Quilon, and Beto Quilon.
