Rotary Club of Pass Christian holds Paddle the Bay 5K fundraiser

A club in Pass Christian is celebrating 100 years of community service with its annual fundraising event.

Paddle the Bay with a 5K is hosted by the Rotary Club of Pass Christian to help with the advancement of youth education and the arts to keep the Pass prospering.

Those in the running spirit met at Henderson Point Park at the base of the Bay Bridge to run just a little more than three miles while others paddle boarded and kayaked.

Rotary Club member Trey Campbell says his club is carrying on the legacy of service. “It’s just a legacy of people who want to have skin in the community service game, a lot of willing servants. The rotary club is the best conduit we have to be of service in our community.”

Paddle the Bay with a 5K event raised more than $30,000 in donations this year.
