Rotarians Back from the Land Down Under
Two young coast business leaders are back in South Mississippi after spending a month in the land down under. Yesterday, Gulfport’s public information officer, Chris Vignes spoke to the Orange Grove Rotary Club, who sponsored the trip.
Vignes was one of five who spent four weeks in Melbourne, Australia learning about Aussie business and social culture. An experience he says was unlike any other.
“The rotary group study exchange was an unbelievable experience to represent Gulfport and the state of Mississippi while in Australia was truly rewarding. I was able to grow professionally and both personally. To speak to different groups about what’s going on in Gulfport and what we have going on in Mississippi.”
The study exchange students did not come back empty handed. A group of Rotarians from Australia came with them, completing the same program here on the coast.
