Road closure issued for North Carolina Ave stretching from Polk St. to Harrison St. in Gulfport

Gulfport, Mississippi- Due to the installation of a new sewer tap, North Carolina Avenue stretching from Polk Street to Harrison Street will be temporarily closed to thru traffic.

Polk Street, West Virginia Avenue, and Harrison Street will serve as the designated detour route.

The “Road Closure” is scheduled to begin Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 7:00AM, and is expected to reopen on February 1, 2024, at 3:30PM, weather permitting.

The City of Gulfport is asking all residents to observe and follow all traffic markers placed in the area.
