Road closure in parts of Gulfport scheduled to begin Tuesday

Due to the installation of a new storm drain, the east and westbound lanes of Harrison Street between Louisiana Avenue and Texas Avenue will be closed to through traffic.

Texas Avenue, Tyler Street, Louisiana Avenue, and Van Buren Street will be used as the designated detour route.

The “Road Closure” is scheduled to begin Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 7:00 AM, and anticipated to reopen Monday, March 4, 2024, at 3:30 PM, weather permitting.

The City of Gulfport is asking all citizens to observe and follow all traffic markers placed in the area.
