Ribbon cutting for commercial district in Diamondhead
DIAMONDHEAD, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Diamondhead hosted a ribbon cutting for developments in the works.
A commercial district and Norma Drive improvement area are being worked on.
The Hancock County Chamber hosting the ribbon cutting through, escorting those in attendance through the area.
Elected officials and the companies behind construction were on site as Mayor-Elect Anna Liese spoke to the crowd. “This is what we want to see for Diamondhead. This is the city we envisioned and development is going to happen. We will flourish and you can talk about how when you first went out and there was nothing. You can say look at it, and I think that will be a lot sooner than later.”
Gulf Coast Restoration Funds is behind the funds for the project.
