Ribbon Cutting at Stone County High School CTE Building

It’s an exciting day in Wiggins as Stone County High School unveiled their new CTE building.

Even though the building is brand new its state-of-the-art facilities are already teaching students valuable lessons they can take into the workforce.

Between classes the wielding instructor Ben Hare and James Spooner spend time honing their craft something that wasn’t possible before.

Wielding is just one of the courses offered to students that are looking to master a trade and enter the workforce.

One of the biggest aspects of CTE courses is hands on learning which comes in many different shapes and sizes.

At the end of the day the main goal of CTE courses is connecting students with career possibilities.
