Ribbon cutting for A&L Medical Consulting in Gulfport

A Gulfport woman is starting a business training those on our Coast who want to pursue a career in medical coding.
Members of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce and members of the community packed the room for the ribbon cutting in Gulfport today. The new company, A&L Medical Consulting, will be an opportunity for people on the Coast to get a secondary education in medical terminology, autonomy, and medical coding.
A&L Medical Coding Consulting CEO April Callahan tells News 25 one of the best parts jumping on board with the company is being able to work from home. “You can save gas, save on buying work clothes. You can just be in the comfort of your own home in your pajamas. The benefits as far as revenue, it’s about 45 to 50,000 up to 100,000 a year. That’s pretty good money here on the Gulf Coast. You get a chance to work for other companies outside of the states.”
This is the first time an accredited education provider for the medical coding field to be located on the Gulf Coast.
