Resurrection Catholic digs deep in 8-7 comeback win over West Union in 1A state finals

It was a wild finish in game 1 of the 1A State Championship series between Resurrection Catholic out of Pascagoula and West Union from the north.

Our hometown Eagles rallying for seven runs across the final three innings to complete the 8-7 comeback victory.

Game two is 1 p.m. on Thursday.

Still plenty more baseball this week. Starting with the defending 5A state champion East Central Hornets at 7 p.m. tomorrow. They face off against North State champion Saltillo.

On Thursday, Resurrection Catholic and St. Stanislaus both look to complete their sweeps in game two followed by Gulfport and Lewisburg in the nightcap.

East Central plays game two on Friday.
