Resurrection Catholic Baseball’s Will Clemens receives Randy Makamson Award

This season, the Resurrection Catholic baseball team had just one starting senior and yet still made it to the 1A State Championship series.

That senior is Will Clemens, who was also a Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star Game standout on Saturday.

After going 2-2 with a hit by pitch, two runs, and three RBIs, in a 12-11 win for the south team, Clemens was named this year’s recipient of the Randy Makamson Award going to the most outstanding player on and off the field.

Clemens certainly fits the bill for that for not only leading the Eagles to their first ever 1A South State championship, but also coming back from a broken tibia and fibula way ahead of schedule to even make it all possible.
