Restore Mississippi Sound

Restore Mississippi Sound, it’s an effort to get the state to spend BP Oil money on improving water quality.

Right now over 2 billion dollars from BP financial settlements are being directed towards restoring the coast, but little of the money is targeted at improving water quality.

Restore Mississippi Sound is hoping to change that.

Last night the organization held a meet and greet in hopes of gaining signatures for a letter they plan to send to the governor.

The department of environmental quality warns against several beaches along the coast including areas in Gulfport, Pass Christian and Lakeshore.
