Restore Act funding for Point Cadet Marina
The City of Biloxi is reacting to news that federal funding will go towards upgrades at the city’s Point Cadet Marina.
$3.29 million in Restore Act money will be invested into the marina for things like concrete floating docks, utility upgrades, and even 52 new boat slips.
Additionally, Biloxi will contribute $2.18 million to the project, which will total 5.4 million once complete.
City officials say this project will also help to strengthen the marina facilities against future storms and threats.
The Restore Act funds were awarded to the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality and the project is estimated to be complete by September 2023.
