Restaurants preparing for Mother’s Day crowds
Mother’s Day is Sunday and Gulf Coast restaurants are preparing to accommodate expected crowds.
At the Almanett Hotel and Bistro in Gulfport a select Mother’s Day menu hopes to sustain excellent service while celebrating the loving holiday.
They’re taking COVID protocols seriously, still enforcing social distancing and encouraging masks.
They’ll be offering two for one Bloody Mary’s and mimosas, their world-famous fried catfish, baked and BBQ chicken, jumbo shrimp, and sides.
Almanett owners are also encouraging to-go orders to help manage COVID safety procedures. Owner Michael Daniels said, “This year we’re having a lot more reservations than last, but we are really encouraging to-go as well. That’s one of the big things, to order your food ahead, bring it to your mother or pick it up, and enjoy it from home. Just so we can kind of maintain the social distancing and kind of stagger the reservations as well.”
On Mother’s Day, the Almanett will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. serving up their special Mother’s Day menu.
