What Residents want to see in the President

While there are a few statewide races today, many people are eager to vote for president.
Poll workers at Lyman Community Center tell News 25 today has been the largest turnout they’ve seen in years with a number of voters coming out they’ve never seen before.
Voters News 25 caught up with say the presidential election was the big draw to come out and they share what they would like to see our next president accomplish.
Harrison County voter Larry Benefield said, “We have such divisiveness in our country right now and I don’t know if any of us know why. I think that we need a president that can pull us all together, the working class, the retired people, disabled people, and get us all headed in one direction in our country.”
Harrison County voter Tammi Farabee said, “More putting America first basically in all areas, security, jobs, military, veterans, all of the above.”
Harrison County voter Herman Wilson said, “That we have a country that we can be proud of. When we go overseas, a lot of people are starting to not respect America. I did 25 years in the Navy, so I want to make sure that we’re going fast, we’re not going back and that’s what I want to see in our next president.”
The one common theme most voters told us they want to see our next president do is bring our country together.
