Residents at the Claiborne in Gulfport enjoy Festival of Trees event

Residents, alongside their friends and family, enjoyed a Christmas party at the Claiborne in Gulfport.

The facility hosted its second Festival of Trees and invited the entire community to come and take part in the celebration.

Gram Rae played Christmas classics while guests strolled through the decked halls of the Claiborne.

Twelve Christmas trees were competing for the title of best dressed. Each tree is sponsored by a community partner.

When resident Ola Marr was asked what was her favorite part of the festival, it was easily the decorations. “The Christmas trees are beautiful and they need to take a look at my little alcove. I love it. I have a Christmas tree there also.”

Executive Director Jody Stoddard said, “It’s just part of our overall care for our residents. This is their home. So, we want to make it feel like their home. Everyone wants to celebrate Christmas and invite family and friends to come in. So, everybody enjoys it.”

The Claiborne hosts events like this throughout the year for their residents and the community.
