Resident thanks Moss Point police officers for their service

During Moss Point’s City Hall meeting, a local resident expresses her appreciation for five Moss Point police officers.

Nicole Claucherty has lived in Moss Point for seven years and shares many interactions with Moss Point police publicly and privately.

In her experience, she feels five officers, Chief of Police Brandon Ashley, Officer Wesley Jones, Officer Larry Gowins, Officer Caleb Vick, and Officer Craig Chandler have gone above and beyond.

Claucherty tells News 25 these officers gained trust within her neighborhood and advises others to not be afraid of law enforcement officers. “They will take the time out when they have a minute to talk to you, just to kind of check and see how things are going through the neighborhood and if there are any questions we have or anything we need and they always tell us if we ever need them to make sure and call 911 and I feel that they should be recognized for going over and beyond.”

Mayor Billy Knight also thanked the officers for their service and dedication to the community.
