Republican candidates speak at Candidates Forum in Hancock County

Primary candidates for Mississippi’s 4th Congressional District and U.S. Senate seats made their pitch to voters with one week left to go until the state’s primary elections.

The candidate’s forum was held at the American Legion Post 77 on Waveland Avenue.

This was an opportunity for Coast residents to ask questions to Representative Mike Ezell and his Republican primary challengers Carl Boyanton, Michael McGill, and some primary candidates for the U.S. Senate race as well.

Forum organizers hosted the event with the goal of focusing on the issues voters care about in the 2024 election cycle. Republican Women’s Club President Monica Ladner said, “Well, we’re putting on the event so that everyone can come out and meet the candidates that are running for Congress as well as Senate. You know we have elections March 12th and a lot of people aren’t aware of that. So, this is an opportunity to come out, form your own opinion, hear them speak, and get to meet them.”
