Report: Southern Miss buyout with C-USA worth $1.75M
According to Brett McMurphy of the Action Network, the deal negotiated between Southern Miss and Conference USA, as well as other departing teams Marshall and Old Dominion, is “in the neighborhood of $1.75 million in addition to forfeiting one year of conference revenue.”
USM is joining the Sun Belt Conference a year earlier than expected on July 1st.
