Repairs to Keesler Air Force Base runway complete
Keesler Air Force Base has completed construction and repairs to its runaway.
After reopening, the airfield is returning to normal flight operations. The runway closed November 2022 for repairs with flying operations relocated to the Gulfport Combat Readiness Training Center.
The airfield supports the 403rd Wing, the 815th airlift squadron, and the Hurricane Hunters.
They are responsible for providing combat support, tactical airflight support, and weather reconnaissance respectively.
The runway was reopened yesterday.
