Remembering the life of Cynthia Burges

On Wednesday following a multi-vehicle accident on Cowan-Lorraine Road in Gulfport, 58-year-old Cynthia Burges of Vancleave died on the scene. The other driver received non-life-threatening injuries.

Burges’ co workers from Coldwell Banker Alfonso Realty tell News 25 she left for a lunch break and never made it back.

They tell News 25 Burges was a loving mother, grandmother, and dog mom. She was hard working and dedicated to her job. Her sense of humor was unique, but kept the room on their toes.

Her co-workers describe her as very careful, a great person, easy to talk to and loyal. Coworker and Friend Gabe Snodgrass said, “She was kind of the heart of this office. Her job actually is the center of everything that we do. She works with every single agent, every single staff person works with Cynthia. They got to sit down with her and she’s helped everybody and did everything she could. It’s a big hole we’re going to have here for a while.”

Co-worker and friend Meg Dengler said, “It seems like it’s such a shock right now. To come here for our office meetings and not have her come up and give me a hug when we haven’t seen each other or call in here and be able to catch up.”

The Burges family is working together to plan her funeral service.
