Red, White, and Blueberry Festival returns to the Coast

Ocean Springs got patriotic over the weekend with its 17th annual Red, White, and Blueberry Festival.

This festival featured over 30 vendors selling a wide variety of products. There were baked goods, homemade honey, homemade jams, and fresh produce. Those are just some of the many goodies that were available.

The event was sponsored by Ohio-based organization Wahl Grooming. The team at Wahl even brought a mobile grooming station where they gave free grooms to guests.

For every trim and shave given, the company donated $100 to the 1720 foundation which helps adults going through the adoption process. Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cynthia Sutton said, “It’s just a fun community event that just invites the locals and travelers to just come out, experience downtown Ocean Springs, see what a little bit we have to offer and just – you know – have a happy day with us in Ocean Springs.”

Wahl Touring Manager Justin Patricoff said, “Our master barbers are showing guys how to kind of best maintain their look at home, of course using the most powerful grooming tools: the Wahl lithium-ion trimmers, and it’s just an overall great day. It’s a fun day to be in Ocean Springs.”

Despite the South Mississippi heat, large crowds of guests still flocked to the festival throughout the day.
