Recreational fishing season for Red Grouper to close February 1 through April 1 in Mississippi

BILOXI, Miss. – Officials with the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources announced that the recreational fishing season for Red Grouper will be closed in Mississippi territorial waters.

The closure runs from Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. local time through Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. local time.
