Record broken at Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo

Today a record was broken by a fisherman at the 70th annual Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo.
Brett Rutledge of Mobile, Alabama broke the state record and brought in a female bull shark that weighed 354 pounds and four ounces. The weigh in took place at Jones Park in Gulfport.
This comes two days after he and his team had hooked another bull shark that weighed 276 pounds. This means that Rutledge was able to break the state record and then break his own record. “We caught one about two days ago. I guess it was 274 and we didn’t think it was big enough so we went back and tried to catch another one. It took about an hour, hooked him about 4:45 this morning and got him in the boat about 6.”
Rutledge told News 25 that his sweet spot for catching these massive sharks was top secret.
