Reassuring sign welcomes North Gulfport Middle students

Students returning to North Gulfport Middle School were met with a sign from teachers hoping to reassure the kids and their parents of their safety at school.
The sign read “we love your children and we want to keep them safe.”
North Gulfport Middle School was put on lockdown yesterday as police investigated reports of a possible intruder. No intruder was found.
Gulfport police reported the students claimed they head slamming doors and not gunshots.
