Rapper Wraps Herself In Confederate Flag

A rapper from the coast is receiving mixed feedback after draping herself in a Confederate Flag during a recent performance to protest Mississippi’s Confederate Heritage Month.

During her April 26th show, Biloxi native “Genesis Be” draped herself in a Confederate Battle Flag, hung a noose around her neck, and then threw the flag into the crowd to be ripped up.
The 27 year old said it was to protest Bryant’s declaration of Confederate Heritage Month that she called quote” A slap in the face to everyone’s ancestors who fought against the confederacy.”
While some are calling the rapper’s move influential, she’s also received a number of death threats for the stunt.
