Long Beach Mayor George Bass Wins Primary, Will Serve Four More Years as Mayor
In Long Beach, the race for mayor and four Board of Aldermen spots was decided through the Republican Primary.
In the mayoral race, current mayor George Bass squared off against fellow Republican John Ruth in his bid for another four years in office. Bass won with 79-percent of the vote. Ruth garnered 21-percent of the vote.
George Bass will serve as Long Beach’s Mayor for another four years, as there were no other candidates.
