Quinton Tellis Trial Continues
Jury selection continues today in the trial of Quinton Telis, who is accused of illegally using the debit card of a woman stabbed to death in Northeast Louisiana.
A judge ruled Monday that prosecutors must limit discussion to the woman’s death. Unlike in Mississippi, where Tellis faces capital murder charges in the death of teenager Jessica Chambers, he’s not charged with the Louisiana woman’s death.
If convicted, Tellis could face a life sentence because of previous felony convictions. He’s expected to face trial in Chambers’ death in Mississippi later. Chambers was found on fire on a rural road in Courtland in December 2014 next to her car which was also burning.
