Quality Poultry and Seafood recalls over 98,000 pounds of product
BILOXI, Miss. (WXV)- Quality Poultry and Seafood in Biloxi has recalled catfish fillet products.
This recall comes from the Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The recall was announced Monday and almost 100,000 pounds of product has been recalled.
Reports say the catfish fillet was produced September 2 through the 5th of this year. All items were shipped to restaurants and stores in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
An issue was discovered when Quality Poultry and Seafood notified the Food Safety and Inspection Service they were producing catfish products.
The federal agency determining these were produced without any type of inspection.
No confirmed reports to reactions due to these items has been reported, but those concerned are advised to contact a healthcare provider.
