Public’s assistance in locating Harrison County shooting suspect
It’s back to square one for the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department in finding the suspect who shot a deputy on Friday.
Sheriff Troy Peterson tells News 25 that both persons of interest related to the shooting have been cleared. Officials are asking that anyone with information surrounding this case to come forward.
On Friday, the deputy was pulled over when a man walked up and shot him in the chest. Officials say the bulletproof vest he was wearing kept the bullet from doing serious damage.
The injured deputy’s identity is being withheld.
