Pryor Pleads Guilty to Charges of Molesting Young Boys
Tuesday, former Gulfport teacher, William Richard Pryor, pleaded guilty to federal felony charges accusing him of transporting students across state lines intending to molest them.
A federal grand jury indicted Pryor in September while he was teaching at St. Patrick Catholic High School. However, the abuses occurred while he was teaching at Bayou View Junior High. Tuesday, the state brought forth graphic details of Pryor’s encounters with several victims, both in his apartment, on trips to L.S.U. football games, and on a trip to California.
Pryor entered into a plea deal with the state and will be sentenced March 2nd. He faces a maximum sentence of 15 years behind bars and three years’ probation on the first count, and 30 years in prison and life probation on the second count.
