Progress report on MDOT road projects in South Mississippi

The Mississippi Department of Transportation has released an update on road projects across South Mississippi.

In Pearl River County, crews have shifted traffic onto the new Highway 11 Bridge over Hobolochitto Creek as the old bridge is demolished.

Resurfacing on Highway 43 is now complete as well.

In Harrison County, construction continues on the I-10 widening project, the Highway 49 expansion, and the highway superstreet corridor, with pedestrian safety improvements also progressing along 49 as well.

In Jackson County, the major Highway 57 widening project is running ahead of schedule, construction on a new I-10 welcome center begins this summer, and bridge preservation work on Highway 63 has now been completed.
