Progress on new Stone High campus

STONE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Work on the new Stone High School campus near Perkinston continues at a rapid pace.

In the latest update provided by the school district, interior and exterior walls are now going up for the gym, interior work is progression on the main academic building, mechanical work is happening in the cafeteria, exterior walls are going up for the school’s fine arts building, and prep work to install the bleachers at the football field is now starting.

The new campus is expected to be ready to welcome students at the start of next school year, August 2026.
