Progress continues on Long Beach Gateway Project

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- Progress is being made on the Long Beach Gateway Project.

In Long Beach, crews just weeks ago installed the top of the lighthouse. It is positioned on Jeff Davis Avenue right by the Long Beach Harbor.

Launched in 2018, the project was proposed to enhance the city’s appearance along Highway 90.

The project features new signage and upgraded landscaping, designed to create a stronger connection between downtown and the scenic beach front.

Funding comes from federal grants, secured through the efforts of state elected officials.
