Procession for Pearl River K9 officer Friday

Tomorrow, Pearl River County residents will line the streets to say goodbye to a beloved K9.

Earlier this week, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department announced the loss of K9 Soyer after recent health issues.

Soyer was responsible for several arrests and got a lot of dangerous drugs off the streets. A procession is planned for 9 Friday morning in Soyer’s honor and all are welcome.

The procession will start at Friendship Park in Picayune, heading north on Highway 11 and ending at the intersection of Highway 11 and Lamar Street in Poplarville.
