Pro-Life Mississippi reacts to Supreme Court decision
Pro-Life Mississippi was excited about the decision made today in the Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Case.
Overturning the Roe and Casey decisions now returns the abortion issue back to the state legislatures where they expect a quick response to uphold the Mississippi laws against abortion.
The organization expects the abortion industry to make every effort to avoid the laws, but Pro-Life Mississippi says they will continue to expose those attempts and stand for life in all stages even in this post-Roe era. Pro-Life Mississippi President Laura Knight said, “We are very happy with this result. This allows us to focus more on women and their children and families on a local level. We don’t have to fight for righteous legislation. We don’t have to fight for legislation to protect these women now. We can just do it one time and then move forward with policies that would promote the family.”
Knight says Pro-Life Mississippi will continue community outreach efforts that inspire communities to build a culture of life by assisting women in unplanned pregnancies, adopting, or fostering children, and supporting local charities that also promote life.
